GAMY

Anisogamy
Apogamy     asexual reproduction, spec. the productin in some ferns
etc. of a sporophyte directly form a prothallus without the union of
gametes
Autogamy    self fertilization fusion of sister nuclei
Bigamy     the crime of going through a form of marrigaee while a
previous marriage is stilll in existence , having two wives or
husbands at once
Chasmogamy  the opening of the perianth at the time of flowering
Cleistogamy  the occurrence of permanetly closed flowers in which self
fertilization occurs.
Deuterogamy   marriage after the death or divorce of a first
spouse.(2) fertilization occuring other than by simple fusion of
gametes.
Digamy      the state of having married again after the death or
divorce of the first spouse.
endogamy     the custom of marrying only within thee limits of a local
community, clan, or tribe.(2)(biol) the fusion of reproductive cells
form related individuls
exogamy    the custom by which a man is obliged to marry outside his
own community, clan,or tribe(2)(biol) the fusion of reproductive
geitonogamy    (biol) fertilization of a flower by pollen from another
flower on the same plant.
hercogamy   (bot)  a conditin in which the stames andd stigmas of a
flower are separated by physical barriers, so preventing self
pollination.
herkogamy
heterogamy  the condition of producing heterogametes, heterogamous reproduction.
homogamy  (bot)  the conditon of being homogamous ,the possessioon of
homogamous flowers.(biol)  breeding between individuals similar in
some characteristic, inbreeding
isogamy   (biol) the reproductive union of two equal and similar
gametes or cells.
misogamy  hatred of marriage
monogamy  the practice of marrying only once, or of not remarrying
after the death of the first spouse(2) (zool) the habit of animalls,
esp. birds living in pairs, or having only one mate.
oogamy   (biol)  thee union of dissimilar gametes, usu of small motile
make gamete and a larger non motiile female gamete.
paedogamy    (biol)  in certain protists, reproductioin by the fusion
of gametess derived form the same parent cell.
pantagamy    a communal system of marriage, in  which all the men and
women of a household or community are regarded as married to each
other, formerly practised by perfectionists.
plasmogamy   (biol) the fusion of the cytoplasm of two or more cells,
spec. without fusion of the nuclei.
plastogamy
polygamy     marriage with several spouses, or more than one spouse,
at once, the practice or custom by which one man has more than one
wife, or one woman has moree than one husband , at the same
time.(zool) the habit of mating with more than on e, or several,of the
opposite sex
porogamy    (biol) fertilization in which the pollen tube enters the
ovule by the micropyle.
syngamy     free interbreeding between organism.(2)   the fusion of
two cells, or of their nuclei , in reproduction
thingamy
trigamy     (eccl) remarriage after the death of two spouses .(2) the
state of having three wives or husbands at once, the  action of twice
goiong through forms of marriage with other persons while a legal
marriage is still in existence.
